The Filmmaking & Photography major specialisation applies a holistic approach to creative fields of design, through visual narrative perspectives. This major specialisation allows you to develop, edit and refine ideas and visual storytelling skills, across a variety of creative mediums.
Commencing with still image, you will learn the practical components of digital photography in studio and location environments. Idea generation and content creation develops a strong foundation for digital workflow, image correction and composite photography. You will expand your creativity by migrating to moving image and filmmaking; working with other creatives to produce live action narrative based videos and gaining insight into digital visual effects and animation.
Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, to render and create your stories. Initiate a studio-based photo shoot with models set against a green screen, then composite to another world in Photoshop! Find yourself out on location shooting a short film on our high-end 4k Black Magic cameras, then utilise the Adobe Creative Suite for your post-production workflow.
By graduating with a Bachelor of Design Arts and joining the ranks of LCI Melbourne alumni, you will be included amongst some of Australia’s leading and most innovative artists and designers.
