To be admitted to the Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years) students must hold one of the following qualifications:
Diploma of Children’s Services OR
Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to Five Years)(or AQF equivalent) OR
Three-year Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching qualification (or AQF equivalent) from a recognised university.

Practical experiences
Professional placements are a key part of this degree. There are two compulsory experience subjects where you'll work with children aged from birth to two years and then three to five years. The Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years) consists of the 12 core subjects (96 points) plus additional restricted elective subjects (dependent on the student’s specific entry credit), with a total point value for the course of 256 points.
All subjects in the course have a value of 8 points.
