Course Information

This course will provide you with the skills required to gain employment as a scientific officer in a range of clinical and research settings. These include pathology laboratories and neurophysiology, respiratory and cardiac departments.

Specialisations are available in biotechnology, clinical physiology and pathology. A generic stream is also available, allowing you to gain a wider knowledge across specialisations. This will be especially attractive if you are seeking a broad background as an option for entry into research programs.

Medical scientists are an integral part of the total healthcare team within hospitals, liaising with other health professionals and patients. They also form the key elements of research teams examining the efficacy of new treatments or developing new medicines and healthcare products
