English Requirements

For most courses at Charles Sturt University, you can meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements by doing one of the following:

  • providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English

  • obtaining Academic IELTS within the last 2 years, with a minimum overall score of 6 and no individual score below 5.5

  • obtaining a qualification deemed to be equivalent to Academic IELTS (and its minimum scores) by Charles Sturt.

Other Requirements

To be eligible for admission applicants must have been awarded, or be eligible to graduate with, a three-year Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline from a recognised tertiary institution. Normally, to be eligible,  a student must possess a GPA 5.0 or above in their Bachelor Pass degree, and have completed this degree in minimum time.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) allows you to specialise in any one of the many disciplines offered by the Faculty of Science.

Featuring a substantial research project, this course will support you in the development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to conducting research, especially for entry to higher degree courses.

Develop specialist knowledge

You'll gain an advanced level of knowledge in your chosen area of specialisation. You'll be guided in your work by an expert supervisory team. All students enrol under the Bachelor of Science (Honours) course title, but your specialisation will be noted when you graduate. Areas of specialisation include agribusiness, agriculture, agronomy, animal science, biology, chemistry, conservation, dentistry, ecotourism, environmental management, environmental science, equine science, health and rehabilitation, horticulture, livestock production, medical science, mental health, natural resource management, nuclear medicine, nursing, nutrition and dietetics, oral health, physics, spatial science, veterinary science, and wine science and viticulture.
