Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, BMIHMS, is Australia's number 1 hotel school for hospitality education (TNS Survey 2013). Students can study internationally recognized hospitality and business degree programs. Each year, more than 700 new students experience Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School's (BMIHMS) unique approach to hotel, events and restaurant management education. Since BMIHMS was founded in 1991, the school has produced more than 3,000 graduates from more than 50 countries. Most graduates move into senior management roles within six years of graduation. Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School’s (BMIHMS) Practical Learning Centre, located at the Leura Campus consists of a simulated hotel where first and second year undergraduate students live, work and study. In addition to the Practical Learning Centre, students also have the opportunity to hone their skills in an operational hotel at The Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort which is operated by BMIHMS.
Students are fully immersed in daily hotel operations, performing food and beverage management, restaurant service, housekeeping and front office duties, gaining valuable hands-on experience whilst interacting with genuine guests.
