Course Information

Do you work, or you have worked, in business, management or administration? If so, this 12-month course could be ideal. It will enable you to top-up your qualification to a BA (Hons). This can help you progress in your career or to postgraduate study.

You'll study organisational leadership, marketing and human resources management. You'll learn how innovation and entrepreneurship create financial and social value and how to encourage innovation in organisations. Once you graduate, you'll be ready to make well-researched recommendations for the workplace.

Modules

Year 1: 

You will study four core modules, covering general business areas that apply to the majority of organisations. You will gain an understanding of the perspectives and theories relating to the leadership of people and the strategic management of human resources within an organisational setting. You will also apply marketing theory and strategic management theories and concepts to the workplace, with a view to producing well-researched recommendations for your company. Finally, you will learn about the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship as a means of creating both financial and social value, and how to make innovation happen in your workplace.
