Toptal scholarships for women
Empowering future female leaders to change the world:
The scholarship program is open to any females ages 16 and above with a passion for changing the future and from all majors and academic standings.
One scholarship is available for someone in the Oceania region, which includes Australia.
The scholarship winner will receive a $10,000 stipend and one year mentorship from a Toptal expert.
Soroptimists: “A better world for women’ grant”
+ CIT students are eligible to apply for the Soroptimist “A better world for women’ grant”.
+Soroptimist International (SI), is a politically independent volunteer organization of around 80,000 women in 130 countries and territories working at local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable women and girls.
House Call Doctor: is launching the $10,000 Futures in Health Indigenous Scholarship, specifically aimed at supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students considering a career in health and medicine.
Fee Assistance: provides up to 75% to a maximum limit of $800 per student in one semester.
Rotary club Canberra city equity scholarship: The value of the scholarship is $2,500 per scholarship to directly contribute to CIT student fees. The length of the scholarship is three semesters (up until the end of Semester 1, 2020).
Rotary club of hall and CIT Australian Culinary apprentice scholarship:
Scholarship 1: $5000. This scholarship will assist an outstanding culinary apprentice to further develop their professional skills and knowledge in an appropriate international establishment.
Scholarship 2: $3000. This scholarship will assist an outstanding culinary apprentice to further develop their professional skills and knowledge through work experience in an appropriate venue.
Scholarship 3: $2000. This scholarship will assist an outstanding culinary apprentice to further develop their professional skills and knowledge through work experience in an appropriate venue.
CIT – NAWIC Women in construction scholarship
This scholarship is available to support the personal and professional development of female building and construction professionals whether in technical, management or policy roles. It is available for women furthering their experience in a specific construction discipline or looking to develop their career through obtaining a certificate IV or diploma level building and construction qualification offered by CIT Technology and Design.
ACT mental health consumer scholarship: The ACT Mental Health Consumer Scholarship Scheme is a partnership between ACT Health, CIT and ACT Mental Health Consumer Network. It is designed to support mental health consumers to study in the community services area. The aim of the scheme is to increase employment opportunities for mental health consumers in mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community development, youth work and community services.
Indigenous scholarships: are available to Indigenous students enrolled at CIT, first time applicants must provide confirmation of Aboriginality - are available for waiver of program fees only.
Charles Sturt University TAFE to University Scholarships available to CIT students: Charles Sturt University (CSU) has developed a scholarship program specifically for diploma and advanced diploma students at CIT, to the value of $2,500 each.
Canberra Refugee Support Scholarships: Scholarships are awarded to asylum seekers or refugees who are studying or seeking to study at CIT or at other institutions while they are living in Canberra. Winners are selected on the basis of meritorious performance rather than academic results alone.
Jake Keller scholarship: The Jake Keller Scholarship is worth $1,000, which will be a contribution towards the CIT tuition fees in the chosen qualification in horticulture and must be redeemed within 12 months of receipt. The recipient of the scholarship will be also eligible to do work experience at the National Arboretum Canberra.
Horticulture scholarship: The Open Gardens Canberra Scholarship provides $2,000 over two years towards CIT tuition fees, textbooks and equipment. The scholarship recipient will also be encouraged to assist Canberra gardeners through the Open Gardens Canberra scheme.
FREE NAWIC student membership: will award the winner a FREE NAWIC student membership for 12 months, providing access to some of the most amazing and successful women in the local construction industry, opportunities to network with industry, and participate in professional development programs
Bayside Psychotherapy annual scholarship: Bayside Pyschotherapy scholarship - annual clinical experience learning program consisting of a financial scholarship of $500 towards study and up to a half-day mentorship and learning experience in the operation, management and provision of services in a clinical environment.
