The Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) is an internationally recognised qualification for language teachers. It's a practical course that will help you develop a career in English language teaching – and it's accredited by Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of Cambridge University.
Our course includes a combination of seminars, workshops, tutorials, classroom observation and hands-on teaching. You will teach volunteer students who are keen to improve their English. You'll begin teaching immediately, supported by our experienced tutors, who will help you develop your confidence and independence.
By the end of the course you’ll have considered teaching approaches for a range of lessons, the role of the teacher and the learner, effective strategies for planning lessons, how to analyse language for teaching purposes, use of materials, and a range of classroom management and teaching techniques.
