Entry requirements

  • This course does not have a year 1 or 2 as the requirements are an HND Computing: Software Development or a similar Computing with Software Development diploma award.

English requirements

  • Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.

Course Information

At Robert Gordon University the Computing – Application Software Development degree is a two-year top-up programme that leads to an Honours degree for those with a relevant HND. The course will develop your knowledge and skills in software and systems development, web and mobile development, and enhance your ability to develop sophisticated applications to change tomorrow’s world.

One of the major challenges that businesses are facing today is maintaining and enhancing a competitive advantage. The merging of communication and information technologies is creating new opportunities for the development of application software that integrates mobile, tablet, PC, networking and an array of computing services, into highly accessible enterprise scale systems.
