The minimum age for entry to the First Year Diploma programmes is 17. Must have completed 12 years of schooling.
ALL IB Diploma: Predicted IB score qualification i.e. 22 IB = buffer of 2 points from normal entry requirement
ALL – Pearson qualifications incl. International GCSE and International A Levels, as well as their UK GCSE, A level and BTEC qualifications: Predicted 2 x A levels with a minimum combination of grade D and E or better (3 points from 2 subjects)
Australian Foundation programmes: 50% pass
To enter either of the First Year Business and Information Technology Diploma programmes, students must achieve an IELTS overall score of 5.5, with no bands less than 5.0, or an agreed equivalent.
First Year Diploma programmes are two semester courses that function as an alternative first year of an undergraduate degree at Charles Darwin University. The programmes are for students who are close to meeting academic and English entry requirements but require some additional support for their first year of study.
Successful completion of the First Year Diploma programme allows for direct entry into the second year of an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Nursing or IT.
