Students must be 17 at the time of Diploma commencement.
Prior to the first scheduled practicum students are required to provide a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Recognition of prior learning: You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (Academic) with no individual bandscore less than 5.5.
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is designed for educators who are responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating early childhood education and care programs.
As a graduate, you will have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers, and this may also lead to employment as a children's services director or coordinator.
If you have already completed the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will be able to complete this diploma in one year instead of 1.5 years.
After successfully completing this course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to explore a career in a wide range of children's services.
