Course Information

If you are interested in psychology or aim to become a professional psychologist, the Diploma of Psychology offers a hands-on pathway into university studies.

In the Diploma of Psychology, you'll get an introduction to subjects relating to human behaviour, psychology, statistics and focus on clinical neuroscience. You'll also learn about the psychology of culture and global citizenship, human relationships or even animal-human relationships.

After meeting minimum subject requirements, you'll be able to start in the second year of a Bachelor of Psychology Science at La Trobe University. If you're planning to work as a registered psychologist you'll need to undertake further studies after your Bachelor's, including a fourth year of study and a postgraduate degree or a work placement.

After successfully completing the Diploma of Psychology, you can transfer into the second year or receive credit towards a:
