Entry requirements:
Upper Secondary Education Graduation Diploma Year 12 with 5.5 average in 4 academic subjects.
Assumed knowledge: Mathematics for all pathways listed below. Plus, for Biomedical Science only, at least one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics

The Diploma of Science will provide you with a basic understanding of the natural and physical sciences, including fundamental theoretical and practical principles of chemistry, biology, and genetics; and for some pathways, environmental science. You will also gain the basic computational skills necessary for scientific practice across observation, analysis and problem solving.
The program will prepare you for further studies in a broad range of areas including biomedicine, environmental sustainability, chemistry and physical sciences, marine, and wildlife and microbiology.
The Diploma will provide you with a solid foundation in natural and physical sciences, enhanced by additional interactive workshops that explore theoretical models in more depth, and language development modules to build the communication skills you need for success in science industries.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you can undertake an English intensive course at Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) prior to commencing your Griffith College program.
The Direct Entry Program is your pathway to a Griffith University degree or Griffith College diploma. Build your English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, and at higher levels, practise academic skills. You won’t need to submit an English test score if you complete this program at the English level needed for your chosen degree or diploma.
Duration: The number of weeks you undertake study depends on your current English language proficiency
Start dates: With classes starting every five weeks, you can choose to start your English classes when it suits you best.
Tuition fee: Tuition fees for the Direct Entry Program will vary depending on the number of weeks you are enrolled.
