Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—1) an accredited bachelor's honours degree in psychology with an upper second class Honours or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and
  • Applicants must be eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • and 
  • Applicants must have secured a PhD supervisor from the School of Psychological Science at the time of submitting their application.

English requirement:

For entry into this program, applicants must be eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, which includes meeting the Board's English language registration standard

Course Information

This course aims to produce psychologists who have the necessary academic and practical foundations, skills and experience to become competent clinicians grounded in the scientist-practitioner tradition. This is achieved through the provision of specialist training in clinical neuropsychological assessment, research and intervention skills. 

You’ll learn to be a psychologist who has the necessary academic and practical foundation, skills and experience to be able to develop into a competent clinician grounded in the scientist-practitioner tradition. You will be skilled at developing therapeutic relationships with your clients and be competent to work productively and to the benefit of a wide range of clients across a broad variety of settings.
