Academic requirements are: completion of Secondary School (attach evidence). Students can join the EAP course in weeks 1 and 6 of the 10-week cycle. Please check intake dates with Applyzones staff.
For entry to the EAP I course: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. An overall IELTS mark of 5.5 with no band under 5.0 achieved in the last 2 years will be accepted as proof of this, but being assessed as at an SCIC Upper-Intermediate level will also suffice.
For entry to the EAP II course: IELTS 6 or equivalent. An overall IELTS mark of 6.0 with no parts under 5.5 achieved in the last 2 years will be accepted as proof of this, but being assessed assessed as at an SCIC Advanced level will also suffice.
Students who are assessed as below an Upper-Intermediate level will be placed in the General English program until assessed as ready for the EAP course.

Components: ACADEMIC SKILLS: Each week the following academic skill sets are studied: Academic Speaking, Academic Reading, Academic Writing, Academic Listening, Study Skills, Grammar extension, Vocabulary extension.IELTS EXAM SKILLS: Students cover the skills required in each section of the IELTS tests of English, both General Training and Academic. Four skills are covered each week (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking).
