Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • Completed Undergraduate Application;

  • Specified non-refundable application fee;

  • Official high school transcripts up until the time of the application;

  • Official entrance examination scores* on the SAT or ACT (applicants 22 years of age or older are not required to submit SAT or ACT examination scores). Unless applying for test-optional admissions.

  • To be considered official, the standardized test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency (College Board or ACT). Test scores sent from the high school or from the student are not considered official and will not be used to complete the application file.

  • Completion of 3 credits of English Composition with a ‘C-’ letter grade or better, minimum overall GPA of 2.50, and at least 24 transferrable credits of course work from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or from an accredited higher education institution located in the list of English-speaking countries.

  • The University of New Brunswick English Proficiency (UNBELP) test: passing score and degree of program completion from high school.

  • GTEC exam: 1140 or above

  • Duolingo of at least 95                       

  • At least two years of high school in an accredited US high school or US high school program with a MINIMUM of at least a B average in all English courses.

English requirements

  • est of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 527 on the paper-based exam (PBT) or a minimum score of 71 on the internet-based test (iBT);

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.0 with no subscore lower than 5;

  • Certificate of Completion of level 110 of the ELS Language Centers Academic English Program;

  • ACT score of 21 on the English and reading portion of the exam with a minimum composite score of 21;

  • SAT score of 550 on the evidence-based reading and writing portion of the exam with a minimum combined score of 1070;

  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a score of 51;

  • IB (Higher Level English A1 or A2): 4;

  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) at level of C1 or higher;

  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with level of C1 or higher;

  • Cambridge International O Levels with a ‘C’ or better;

  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a minimum score of 74;

  • Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) with a minimum score of 645;

  • General Certificate of Secondary Education with grades of ‘C’ or better on English or General Certificate of Education “O” level in English language; or

Course Information

Finance students study banking, investment management, capital budgeting, and funds management. Finance can be called both the art and science of managing money. All areas of the economy, whether businesses, nonprofit institutions or government agencies, have financial issues to be managed. Finance can be classified into at least three categories: corporate finance, investments, and financial markets and institutions. 

The Student Experience

  • The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the premier accrediting body for business colleges.

  • The Wall College houses the Gerald Boyles Student Managed Investment Fund, a program that gives students the opportunity to use real money to make real investments. 

  • Finance majors have access to the Pilosof Financial Services laboratory, a state-of-the-art finance lab equipped with world-class investment management software. 

  • Finance graduates score in the 98th percentile for finance knowledge in nationally normed exit exams. 

  • Students can apply for the Wall Fellows program, designed to prepare top business students for high-level careers in major U.S. and international corporations and organizations. This two-year program features internships and coursework covering specific interpersonal and communication skills, ethics, personal appearance, and business and social etiquette.
