Our minimum entry requirement for this programme is a degree in a numerate subject such as Computing Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics, at 2:1 (upper second class) UK Honours level (or an Honours degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
The MSc Financial Mathematics is delivered jointly by the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) and the Business School and is aimed at numerate students from a broad range of backgrounds who wish to work in the finance industry.
The combination of mathematics and business courses provides our graduates with a rigorous understanding of the mathematical and economic models used in finance today, as well as the practical knowledge to apply their skills and knowledge to solve real-world finance problems.
International students who do not meet the direct entry requirements have the opportunity to complete the Undergraduate Foundation Programme at the University of Aberdeen International Study Centre. Upon successful completion you can progress to an undergraduate degree in Arts and Social Sciences with us.
