This course provides the skills and knowledge required to complement the student's previous studies. On satisfactory completion, students may be able to undertake independent research for a higher degree. This is a qualifying course intended for persons who wish to apply for higher degree by research but do not hold the prerequisite qualification. It comprises a supervised course of advanced study and/or research. Successful completion gives eligibility to apply for entry to a research degree course such as a Master of Philosophy or PhD.
