Admission Requirements

Entry requriements

  • For stage 3 you should have an appropriate HND (or equivalent). Direct entry to Stage 3 is normally guaranteed for students with an HND in Mechanical Engineering from North East Scotland College (NESCol).

English requirements

  • Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.

Course Information

The BSc (Eng) Mechanical Engineering degree is delivered on a part-time basis, via evening class delivery. It is aimed at students who have the potential and motivation to become competent, professional engineers, but who are unable to commit to full-time study.

If you have a relevant HND and wish to develop your career, this evening class course will provide you with the knowledge and skills that industry requires, enabling you to develop into a professional, qualified engineer capable of developing, managing, operating and maintaining complex engineering processes and systems.
