Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in Engineering or a relevant discipline such as Geology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics.
Applicants with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
This Subsea Engineering degree is designed for Engineers with some relevant offshore oil and gas experience, and high-calibre graduates who wish to enhance their employability in the subsea industry.
The course has been designed and is supported by industry to enable us to provide you with up-to-date content in subsea systems and specialist modules including, drilling and completion technology, topside processing facilities, SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines), control systems, intervention, corrosion management, project execution and reliability. The course will provide you with an understanding of the current and emerging technologies, design limitations and possible solutions to subsea challenges.

Graduates of this course find work in a wide-range of roles including Subsea Engineer and Subsea Project Manager. Employers include oil operation and production companies, especially large international oil companies, although some are smaller and less well-known, engineering consultancies and integrated service providers, which provide staff in varied disciplines.
