Course Information

Many organisations have realised that they should take a proactive approach to wellness, rather than focusing on illness and absence management and integrate wellbeing into the wider health and safety agenda. You will study health and safety regulation and legislation, communication, management tools, risk assessment, control and mitigation for a range of workplace hazards typical in most industries and organisations.

This course is accredited with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) which can form the basis of graduate membership (GradIOSH).

Job opportunities in workplace wellbeing will only continue to grow as more employers realise the importance of taking a proactive approach in this area. Karl Simons, Chief Health, Safety and Security Officer of Thames Water emphasises the point: “The importance of having an effective health and wellbeing strategy should never be underestimated. An organisation should understand the risk and needs of its people to ensure a supporting framework can be implemented that creates a culture of care, improves physical and psychological health leading to increased job satisfaction and productivity.
