Each applicant is considered on their academic merits and their ability to demonstrate an interest and ability in the subject area.
Applicants should usually have a first or upper second-class honours degree, in a relevant subject. Students that meet the criteria will be invited for interview.

The 20Twenty professional Leadership & Management Course at Cardiff Met, supported by funding from ESF, is designed specifically for large organisations and SMEs. The overall aim of the management training programme is to promote sustainable business growth by developing the critical leadership, business and management skills that employees need to meet the formidable expansion challenges facing businesses in Wales. More than 900 Welsh business have benefited from the programme so far, with more than 90 percent reporting an increase in sales turnover, employment, productivity and profits.

The leadership course based in Cardiff is 10 months and this is divided into 6, two day workshops. The first half of the programme is designed to acknowledge and develop your own leadership style through a series of practical workshops and individual executive coaching. In the second half of the programme, a series of Master classes are provided on innovation and new thinking on a variety of business themes - including, Lean processes, creating a brand, maximising sales and making the business 'investor ready'.
The practical elements introduced throughout the programme are supported by opportunities to achieve a range of qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) including a CMI level 7 Certificate in Leadership together with a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) in Sustainable Leadership. Following successful completion of the PgC, 60 Master-level credits will be obtained and these credits can be used towards the new Executive MBA . Students also have the option of continuing their studies to achieve the designation Chartered Manager or 'CMgr'.
However, the main objective of 20Twenty Leadership programme is to get participants to develop a three-year growth strategy for their business or department. Hence all the workshops and assignments are based around the needs of the business in driving sustainable growth.
