Course Information

The Broadcast and Cinema Arts Program will prepare you to enter the business of television, radio, filmmaking, and media. The program combines theory with intensive hands-on learning. Approximately 96 percent of our graduates are employed in their field within a year after graduation. Our professors bring a wealth of industry experience into the studios, classrooms, and edit suites. You won't just study the art of broadcasting and film making, you'll actually create it. And you will work with the same equipment used by the top professionals in radio, television, film and the internet.

From the beginning Production Class to the Capstone Film Class, you will be immersed in the communication process, learning proper use and creation of special effects, on camera performance, lighting, composition, editing, etc. You will work on 45 half-hour programs that actually air on a commercial station, full-length feature film using Hollywood techniques and equipment, as well as many other projects. Your internship will provide valuable experience. Our faculty will assist you in becoming a well-rounded and knowledgeable member of the TV, radio, film, and media industry no matter what specific path you choose.
