Academic Transcripts and Records
Official high school/secondary school transcripts, a secondary school diploma or leaving certificate and examination results are required from all international first-year and transfer students.
Unofficial transcripts are accepted in order to complete your admission file. However, final enrollment is contingent upon receipt of official transcripts
All documents should be submitted in the original language. All documents in languages other than English must be accompanied by an official, literal, English translation.

**Students who do not meet the minimum requirement may be individually considered for admission through a comprehensive review process, and may be required to take remedial English courses in order to further improve English language proficiency.
Notes:
All international students must submit documented proof of English proficiency, unless they meet one of the following criteria:
student is a citizen of an English proficiency-exempt country
student has completed 2 consecutive years at a U.S. high school
student is transferring in 24 or more hours from an accredited U.S. university
Requirement of additional proficiency exam(s) will be at the discretion of the university.
Biochemistry – where biology and chemistry intersect – is the study of living things at the molecular level. This interdisciplinary field of science is exciting and versatile, with topics ranging from disease and DNA to forensic science and agriculture. Your experience as a biochemistry major at ACU will prepare you for a challenging and exciting career as a biochemist or will lay the foundation for medical school.
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
With the B.S. program, you’ll be ready for a career as a biochemist or to enter graduate study or professional school. With four tracks to choose from, you can shape your own future:
American Chemical Society (ACS) – This track, approved by the American Chemical Society, includes in-depth biochemistry courses and additional courses in inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry and calculus.
Biomedical Sciences – This track includes more flexibility in upper-level biology and chemistry courses for those preparing to enter professional schools of medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, pharmacy or optometry, or those who want enter graduate school in biochemistry or molecular biology, or who wish to enter the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
Pre-Veterinary track – This track will prepare you for acceptance into veterinary school.
In addition, the health professions fast-track cooperative degree offers students the chance to enter professional school after only three years at ACU.
Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry
The B.A. program prepares you for entry into professional schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or optometry, or into careers in biotechnology, as a physician assistant, or pharmaceuticals.
