International baccalaureate: 25 Points
Flexible and varied, this course will thoroughly prepare you to meet the challenges of working in today's financial and business sectors. Your modules, covering a variety of topics, will use a mix of teaching and assessment methods to develop your employability alongside your technical expertise. Upon graduating, you will be able to make a significant contribution to the ethical financial management of any business.
Taught by staff with substantial professional experience, your course will be delivered through tutorials, seminars, lectures and group project work.
You will benefit from a mix of approaches to teaching and assessment, including the use of industry-standard technology embedded throughout your course to make sure you become a work-ready graduate. You will have the option of undertaking an industry placement before your final year of study which will broaden your real-life work experience and impress potential employers.
This course offers the opportunity to take a ‘sandwich’ year – a year of paid employment in industry which will build your skills and experience. This is usually taken between the second and third year of your degree, typically making your course four years in total. Students who choose the sandwich route find it helps with both their studies and getting a job after graduation. It can build your confidence, contacts, and of course your CV.
