Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes.
If English is not your first language you must have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills or equivalent. If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.

On this course, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence you need to study Airline and Airport Management. You’ll learn useful business, communication, digital and research skills, and familiarise yourself with Sheffield Hallam. International Foundation Programme: Business, Law and Social Sciences
1. Course summary
Prepare for a range of degrees including business, law, hospitality, tourism, finance, built environment and psychology. The programme ends in late July, meaning you can to stay in the UK as you prepare to begin your undergraduate course in September, with advice given about obtaining a visa.
2.Entry requirements
Good high school graduation grades which includes Maths.
You may be required to provide examples of creative work to support your application.
You must be 18 years old when you enrol on the course. September applicants must be 18 years old by 1st September and January applicants by 1st January.
For September entry, an overall IELTS 4.5 is required, with a minimum of 4.0 in all skills.
For January entry, a minimum IELTS 5.0 is needed, with a minimum of 4.5 in all skills
3. Fees
For the three-term programme starting in September the tuition fee in 2020/21 will be £12,310. For the two-term programme starting in January the tuition fee in 2020/21 will be £10,250. On completion of the programme, you are eligible for a £1,000 progression scholarship towards your tuition fees (for the first year of your chosen degree).
