The Bachelor of Arts and Design (Honours) is open to UC students who have completed a degree in the Faculty of Arts and Design with at least a grade point average of 5.0 or better (equivalent to a credit average), or students from a three-year degree in a cognate discipline with a relevant major in which they received a grade point average of 5.0 or better.
Pass degree graduates in similar disciplinary fields from other universities, with comparable results, may also be eligible to undertake this honours degree.
Academic IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent, with no band score below 6.0

have the choice of taking three coursework units on research issues
demonstrate an ability to apply appropriate high-level research skills
plan, implement and document a substantial research, industry-relevant or creative project under professional academic supervision
have the option to undertake a Work Integrated Learning project accompanied by a critical review
have the option of completing a dissertation with guidance from expert supervisors.

As part of UC’s commitment to enhancing your employability, you will have the option of undertaking a Work Integrated Learning project which will ensure you are armed with the right mix of skills and knowledge to develop an impressive portfolio to present to future employers. In the past UC Arts and Design students have connected with industry via organisations including Calvary Hospital, Guide Dogs Australia, the AIS and the National Museum of Australia.
