Admission Requirements

​​Entry requirement

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: 

    • Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent

    • Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber. Additional course fees will apply.)

    • Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above

    • Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent

English requirements 

  • For any program level, a minimum of three years of full-time study at the secondary school level in an English language school system in a country where English is considered the primary language, or the primary language of instruction and evaluation is English, with acceptable grades in all English courses. 

  • For any program level, a minimum of  two full years of successful study in an accredited university degree program or two full years of successful study in an accredited college diploma program in a country OR in a postsecondary institution where English is the primary language of instruction.

  • Minimum TOEFL Scores: 560 for paper-based test OR84 (21L, 21W, 21S, 21R) for internet-based test

  • Minimum IELTS Scores: Overall 6.5 AND No band below 6.0

  • Minimum MELAB Score: 78

  • Minimum EAP Score: Successful completion of all EAP courses with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 75% in Level 8

  • Minimum PTE Score: 58 - 60

  • Minimum CAEL Score: Overall band score of 60 and Writing of 60

  • Minimum FCE/CAE/CPE Score: Cambridge (FCE/CAE/CPE) 180 (with no single test score below 169)

  • Duolingo Language Test Scores: Between 115-120

Course Information

Humber’s Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting degree program will help you develop skills in the applied aspects of the accounting profession. You will gain a fundamental understanding of a variety of business disciplines along with their functions and relationships.

Areas of study include marketing, law, economics, operations management, ethics, human resources management, organizational behaviour, financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, taxation, audit, strategic management, and statistics and quantitative analysis.

The program emphasizes critical thinking, analytical skills, communications and leadership.

You will have the opportunity to train in Humber’s state-of-the-art Accounting Centre where you’ll learn about best practices in accounting and use standard industry software.

You will be required to complete 14 weeks/420 hours of paid work in the summer between your sixth and seventh semesters. This gives you the hands-on, real-world experience that employers value. Your placement will give you the opportunity to explore the field you’d like to work in when you graduate. We will work with employers and our industry partners to help you identify opportunities to pursue.
