Future societies will form an advanced Internet of things that will provide us with optimal service and environment by incorporating computing and communication functions into each of our everyday Information and communication engineering is the study that deals with the computer and information and communication hardware and software technologies needed to implement these Internet environments. In particular, demand for manpower in information and communication engineering is expected to increase steadily in the future as information and communication technology plays a key role in the new growth engine industry selected and intensively fostered by the government recently.
Accordingly, Daegu University's Information and Communication Engineering major aims to foster creative and on-site practical personnel who will lead the knowledge and information service society in the 21st century, while the Information and Communication Engineering major trains academic theory, practice, and design-oriented practical skills throughout telecommunication technology.
This major has been participating in various state-run projects such as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information and Communication to provide various educational opportunities for undergraduates, including scholarships, overseas training and industrial education, and recently, the engineering education innovation project, LINC+. It provides various educational benefits such as IT mentoring, domestic and foreign internships, and participation in various competitions/exhibitions by performing ACE+, university's project to characterize departments, and DU-innovation initiative. In addition, this department operates the certification program of the Korea Institute of Engineering Education and Accreditation, receiving international equivalence and academic recognition. Information and communication engineering aims to foster creative and field-based core people who will lead the knowledge information society in the 21st century.
