  • When you complete this course, you'll have the confidence and ability to work in a variety of industries as an ICT professional.
  • Learn the underlying theories and principles of ICT, specialising in software development, computer networks and web development. You will develop skills to analyse problems in various industry sectors and develop innovative solutions in preparation for employment in various industries.
  • In the first year of the course, you'll gain practical skills in areas such as networking, systems support, databases, programming, gaming and simulation, internet engineering and operating systems, operating system software, network and data integrity, internet protocol networks and servers, system and software faults, wireless local area networks (WLAN), project management, software design, application architecture, development and programming for commercial application (games).
  • In the second and third years, you'll learn the theories and principles of information and communication technologies, further specialising in operating systems, object-oriented programming, database management systems, web applications engineering, systems and web security, and network engineering.
  • Graduates will be prepared for roles that bridge the gap between technical and management personnel in various industry segments such as communications and mobile industry, banking, marketing, entertainment, health, eduaction, government, mining and logistics, and jobs that require the development of innovative solutions through the effective use of IT tools.
  • Once complete, you'll be eligible for membership with the Australian Computer Society.
