Students who have completed Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (1400) are eligible to apply for this program. Students in this program will undertake the 30 credit point dissertation in Year 3 and 4, as determined by the Program Director and subject to the following criteria:

Students wishing to fast-track their completion of the program and/or students entering the program with credit for prior studies should note that the earliest time the University anticipates it will be offering all core program requirements will be during 2017.
English Requirements
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
A minimum overall band score of 7.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 7.0
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 94 with the following minimum scores in each section of the test:
24 for listening | 24 for reading | 27 for writing | 23 for speaking
OR a minimum overall score of 65 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with a minimum score of 65 in each of the four communicative skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking)
OR the Occupational English Test (OET) with a minimum score of B in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).
English test results must be no more than two years old.
In this degree, you will develop the skills needed to work as an occupational therapist to deliver life changing outcomes. You will learn how to enable people to do the activities - occupations - they need or want to do in order to live a meaningful life, but have difficulty with due to illness, injury or other disadvantages.
You will study occupational therapy theory and practice, occupational science, and other sciences such as psychology, sociology and anatomy. With 1000 hours of practical placements, starting in first year, you will apply the skills and knowledge to real life situations preparing you for the wide range of opportunities available to occupational therapists.
This program is available to students who have met the specified progression requirements to undertake Honours
