Prerequisites: English, English as an Additional Language, Literature or English & Literature Extension (Units 3&4, C); One of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, General Mathematics or Mathematical Methods (Units 3&4, C).
English Requirements
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English.
The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to these programs are as follows:
A minimum overall band score of 7.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 7.0
OR a minimum score of 580 on TOEFL
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 92 (no score less than 22)
OR no score less than 4 in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
OR a minimum overall score of 185 (no score less than 176) on C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English)
OR an overall score of 65 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 58.
English test results must be no more than two years old.
A limited number of places for International students will be available in the Bachelor of Paramedicine program from 2018.
You will be prepared to work as a paramedic in a range of traditional and non-traditional settings. You will gain clinical decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and will learn about human body systems, paramedic practice, emergency treatment of disease and response to trauma.
You will also develop strong practical skills through clinical simulation delivered through Griffith's extensive range of simulation facilities and will complete a range of clinical placements to enhance your professional practice.
Honours is available through an additional year of study.
