Practical Semester:

Before you can lead within hospitality, you have to know how this exciting industry works.

This first semester covers core operational areas including Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, and Hotel Operations.

You’ll create and operate your own real-life restaurant concept, while also being introduced to entrepreneurial design, as well as polishing your communication and numerical skills.

Professional Intership:

Companies flock to Les Roches to hire our Bachelor’s in hospitality management students as interns, so you’ll have the world at your disposal when choosing your first internship.

Being placed within an operational environment gives you a fully grounded, everyday context in which to deploy the skills and competencies you learned in your first semester.

Semester 1: Foundations of Hospitality Excellence

Your second year of study is devoted to core academic and business content. In this semester you’ll explore the principles of sustainability and innovation, managing diversity and marketing. Business-focused modules include hospitality financial accounting as well as data analysis.

Semester 2: Towards Exceptional Guest Experience

The art and science of management takes up a large proportion of this academic semester. You’ll learn how to lead for success, as well as working through topics such as economics, management accounting and digital marketing.

Semester 3: Practical Hospitality Management (internship)

Your second internship is an opportunity to take on a more senior position in the industry sector that you are targeting for your future career. Often, the relationships and network you build during these six months are the gateway to your first role after graduation.

Semester 4: Hospitality Analytics for Leaders

Returning to campus after your internship, you’ll build your leadership toolbox through a series of in-depth modules covering areas such as financial management and modeling, revenue and pricing, customer relationship management and data analytics for business optimization.

Semester 5: Leadership, Strategy and Innovation (Specialization)

Select a specialization  in your final semester to gain in-depth knowledge of a particular field – or take the General Management track to build your own curriculum of elective courses.

We offer a variety of specialization topics, including some which are unique to each campus.
