Have you always wanted to apply creative skills to identify and solve complex commercial software engineering problems innovatively with independence? You’re in luck, because that’s totally one of the learning outcomes of this course, which was built in collaboration with IBM and features AWS Academy content.
Work across a variety of services and platforms to build a comprehensive, industry-aligned understanding of cloud computing and devops. Hmm. We decided to leave the capital letters off ‘Cloud Computing’, but it looks weird when it’s not written like ‘DevOps’, doesn’t it? Ahhhh, that’s really gonna bother us now.
Anyway, you’ll explore the intricacies of cloud infrastructure, master the fundamentals of CI / CD, and explore the in-demand field of microservices architecture.
Why Study at Billy Blue
The big difference at Billy Blue is that you’ll start working in your industry from day one – getting real experiencing, learning from real industry professionals and making real industry connections. Plus, we have university accreditation and a commercially focused educational philosophy.
Course Overview
What To Expect
Cloud Computing is mostly used in businesses as a service for example by improving functionality and workflows and through specifically designed databases e.g. Platforms as a Service (PaaS) as well as Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). This course aims to cultivate developers who collaborate or fit in with operation teams (DevOps) to improve productivity by automating infrastructures and workflows whilst measuring application performances enabling feedback for improvements. Data science and early introduction to Cloud Computing in the first term of the course provides you with the foundations to understand different service/deployment models and data mining, skills used when analysing, visualising and reporting on big data throughout the course projects.
With your lecturers – all industry leaders – and other students, you’ll apply your knowledge from the domain of cloud computing and DevOps in real-world contexts, including emerging technologies and entrepreneurship. On graduation, you’ll be in demand in the dynamic software development industry.
