Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • Minimum of 14 NCEA credits in each of 3 subjects at Level 3, and a minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or higher, and a minimum of 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or higher;
  • or Successful tertiary study;
  • or Successful completion of a Level 4 qualification in Tourism and Travel;
  • or Equivalent overseas qualification;

English requirements

  • IELTS 6.0 with no individual band lower than 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT 60 (with a writing score of 18) 
  • Pearson 50
  • TEP 52 or equivalent with no band less than 12;

Course Information

The Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTM) is a unique three-year, 21-course programme designed for students seeking employment in professional roles in the tourism industry leading to future leadership positions.

Graduates will learn to integrate relevant theory, analytical tools and applied skills to implement best practice across a broad range of tourism management functions.
