Course Information

The programme equips you with the technical and practical skills to work as a barista anywhere in the world, with tutoring from highly-experienced staff who love sharing their passion for coffee-making in a thriving industry.

The Barista Skills Certificate programme is based in the Asquith Café, with 80 per cent practical based learning and 20 per cent theory. During the course, you will be taught espresso-making techniques and receive monitored on-site experience in a real café environment. In a country that loves its coffee, the Barista Skills Certificate qualification will open doors for you and improve your employment options.

The maximum number for this programme is six students per intake. These small classes allow for intensive training in a practical environment, maximum supervision when working as part of the café team and sufficient time to learn and complete theory to a high standard.
