Admission Requirements

Entry Requirement

  • Have a good honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate subject from a recognised university or HE institution.
  • Honours degree in a medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biological, chemical science or a related science subject.

English requirement

  • IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element
  • GCSE or O Level English language grade C or above validated in the UK 
  • IGCSE English as a First Language Grade C and the following individual scores: Reading Grade E, Writing Grade E, Speaking and Listening: Speaking Grade D (0522) or 2 (0500), Listening Grade D (0522) or 2 (0500)

Course Information

Modern biotechnology is a hugely complex subject, and this course covers its key areas, helping you develop an advanced understanding of molecular and computational biology through to applied microbiology.

You will learn about the latest new technologies in these three areas, gain insights into how they are used in the global biotechnology industry, and discover how microbes can be used on an industrial scale to benefit humankind.
