Qualifications for this program include the following criteria:
Completion of at least the sophomore year (8 units in the college preparatory curriculum) of high school;
A grade average of 3.00 or better in all academic subjects completed in high school; and
Recommendation of the high school principal or counselor.
International applicants must provide official copies of academic records from all secondary, pre-university program, and colleges/universities attended.
Have all academic records sent directly from the schools (whenever possible).
All documents must be in English or have a certified English translation.
Send external examination results or predicted results. Examples: predicted IB results, GCSE/IGCSE results, WAEC results, etc.
Explanation of educational gaps larger than 13 months.
Submit any additional documents requested by the Concord University Office of Admissions
Transfer international applicants are required to submit:
Students who have attended an international college or university must submit an official transcript evaluation from WES (World Education Services) or ECE (Education Credential Evaluators).
English requirements
All international applicants looking to enroll directly into an undergraduate program must demonstrate English proficiency in the following manner:
SAT ERW Score of at least 470 or
ACT English score of at least 15 and Reading score of at least 18 or
TOEFL iBT score of at least 60 or
IELTS band of at least 6.0 or
Duolingo English Test score of at least 85 or
GTEC score of at least 1095 or
Eiken scores of at least 2A or
iTEP score of at least 3.5 or
Successful completion of an Intensive English Program
Applicants may still be admitted without these minimum scores. For those who do not demonstrate English proficiency, Concord University will required students to enroll in English language courses taught by our ESL department.
The emphasis in Accounting focuses on preparing students to understand "the language of business." Our students are employed by top CPA firms in WV & throughout the country. They work in the area of audit, fraud detection, payroll reporting, financial reporting to the government & shareholders as well as bookkeeping, cost accounting, & taxation. CU has a unique articulation agreement with West Virginia University, in which a graduating accounting student who has a GPA of 3.5 or better in Accounting courses and a 3.3 overall can be immediately accepted into their Masters of Professional Accountancy program & the requirement of the GMAT is waived.
