The Certificate IV in Engineering - Welding Ticket Pathway will provide you with a greater trade base and chance to develop post-trade level skills in welding techniques.
Designed for qualified tradespeople or those experienced in the industry, you will learn intermediate Arc, MIG, TIG welding techniques and advanced skills to become a coded welder. Coded welders earn higher wages than typical metal fabrication tradespersons.
The course prepares you for one or more welding certificates (1-9) as issued by Weld Australia (WA) - formerly known as Welding Technology Institute of Australia.
Completing certain units of study will allow you to obtain the necessary skills to undertake one or more of the Welding Certification exams with WA and to apply your skills immediately in industry as you work towards completing the course.
On completion of Certificate IV in Engineering, you will have gained all the required units of competency to prepare you for theoretical and practical examinations for a Welders Certification Ticket issued by Weld Australia.
