Special Requirements:
The qualification will include 36 shifts (Complete service periods), equivalent to approximately 180 hours, to be undertaken in AHTS training café and AHTS function.
This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality services, sales or operational skills, combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.

Study Pathways
Upon completion of SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality and SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality, or SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, the course duration will be reduced to 24 weeks.
Direct entry to SIT50416 – Diploma of Hospitality Course which leads to credit with our university partners in Australia
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming. Possible job titles include, but not limited to:
