TOEFL: Internet-Based Test (iBT): a minimum score of 17 in the reading and writing components
The programme comprises a practical component which will allow a student to experience practical learning in a specific setting/s according to identified learning needs, drawing upon an evaluation of the student's past training and experience.
The theoretical component of the programme provides a student with a comprehensive opportunity to upgrade one's skills and knowledge in view of embracing the competences required in the role of a registered nurse in contemporary health and social care contexts. Besides upgrading one's knowledge and skills pertaining to caring for individuals in clinical settings the programme reaches out to other angles of the role of the nurse in modern contexts such as communications skills, prevalent and predicted legal and ethical challenges.

Upon the successful completion of the programme, registered students will be eligible for application to register as first level nurses with the Council for Nurses and Midwives of Malta.
Successful students will also be eligible to apply for the BSc (Health Studies), BSc in Nursing (Elderly Care) programmes and other EQF/ MQF Level 6 offered by the University of Malta with an entry requirements of MQF/ EQF level 5 qualification.
