Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements

  • Diploma Stage 1 & Early Transition Program : Completion of Year 11

OR

a Diploma qualification in engineering, science or technology, from a recognised higher education institution and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Enlish Entry Requirements

  • IELTS 5.5 with no band lower than 5
  • Pearson’s (PTE Academic): 42
  • Students who have studied in schools with English Instruction for two years or more meet the minimum English Language Requirements, with the exception of students undertaking the Diploma of Health Sciences who will be asked to sit an additional English Test.

 

Course Information

An Introduction to contemporary issues in society, and influence of culture and communication, as well as providing foundation concepts to accelerate your progress in your proposed area of degree studies.

The SAIBT Diploma of Arts provides a pathway into various bachelor degrees in UniSA. There are 2 streams of the Diploma – Communication and Media Arts. You may have been granted exemption from some modules depending on your academic results. These will be listed in your offer letter.

All Arts students are required to complete the tertiary preparation module Language for Study (LGS001) in their first trimester. Although this module does not count towards the study load or GPA, a non-graded pass is required for the program of study.
