Admission Requirements

Entry requirements:

Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Criminology requires a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney; or an equivalent qualification.

English requirements:

  • IELTS Academic: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
  • TOEFL iBT: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
  • TOEFL PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
  • PTE Academic: A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
