Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Jurisprudence requires a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney; or an equivalent qualification.
IELTS Academic: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL iBT: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
PTE Academic: A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
One of the Law School's key strengths, Jurisprudence comprises the teaching of legal theory, with a focus on philosophical and sociological aspects of law. This degree is designed to expose students to the importance of legal theory in its broad sense, which includes philosophical reflection, sociological theory and comparative enquiry.
