Admission Requirements

International students must have:

  • Completed a Bachelor Degree or higher in any discipline; and
  • Completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited first year psychology sequence within the last ten years. These units are available for completion at ACAP

 

Minimum English Language Requirements
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 (completed in the past two years); or
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic PTE score of 58 (completed in the past two years).

If an alternative to IELTS or PTE is being supplied as part of the application, please read more information on English Language Test Equivalency.

Overseas qualifications must be deemed by ACAP as equivalent to Australian qualifications.

The accrediting body may have additional requirements, including minimum English language, to meet professional accreditation standards. For more information on meeting those requirements visit psychologycouncil.org.au.

 

Please note: International students who do not meet entry requirements for the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science may be offered a Graduate Certificate of Psychological Science as a pathway into the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science. Additionally, the Graduate Certificate of Psychological Science is only offered as a pathway program into the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science and is only available on-campus in Melbourne in Sydney.

Course Information

If you’ve already passed an undergraduate degree, but have a driving passion to understand human behaviour at a deeper level, this is the course for you. Our Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science gives you deep insight into why we think and act the way we do.

You will build a strong foundation in critical and analytical thinking and develop your skills to successfully design, construct and evaluate research, allowing you to uncover the nuances of human behaviour through the scientific discipline of psychology.

This course is fully accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

This course has been accredited by TEQSA.

* This course is only available to international students on-campus in Sydney or Melbourne.
