Course Information

The University of Vermont Grossman School of Business is pleased to offer the 30-credit Master of Accountancy (MAcc) Program, designed to help you develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, and build professional fluency with accounting, auditing, taxation, and regulatory issues. UVM’s exceptional program provides a high-quality graduate education, helping you meet the 150 credit hour requirements for CPA certification and achieve success in the field.

Students engage in a variety of classroom activities that include conventional lectures, group assignments, presentations, guest speakers, and writing assignments that include memos, executive summaries, and short research reports, working closely with their academic advisor to design a course of study that best suits their future career objectives and prior coursework.The MAcc program attracts traditional University of Vermont accounting students who are admitted on an accelerated basis during their senior year, as well as those individuals who studied accounting as undergraduates or earned undergraduate degrees in areas other than accounting who now want to prepare for successful careers with public accounting firms or in corporate accounting.
