To be eligible for admission to the Master of Speech Pathology, a student must have:
completed an undergraduate degree* (not in speech pathology) with a minimum GPA of 5.0 at the time of application - whilst there are no prerequisite study areas for admission, desirable areas include: psychology; health science; public health; medical science; human services; education; linguistics, and
satisfactory performance in an interview with a Speech Pathology academic staff member.
* Admission will not normally be granted for studies that have been completed more than ten years prior to the time of application for admission. If studies were completed more than ten years prior to the time of application, applicants must have completed a minimum of 40 credit points (equivalent to Bachelor degree level or above) at a higher education institution within ten years of applying for admission.
As the number of applicants may exceed the places available, selection for admission is competitive and will be based upon (1) academic merit and (2) interview.
