Care Leaver Bursary
The Care Leaver Bursary provides £1,000 per year to undergraduate students who are joining the university directly from local authority care.
Commuter Bursary
Our commuter bursaries support new students from low-income households who face challenging travel costs to attend university. The bursaries are worth 50% of your monthly commuting cost on public transport between home and university up to £500 per academic year. We can also consider supporting petrol costs if you can demonstrate why travel by car is necessary (e.g. you live in a rural area with limited public transport).
David Fussey Choral Exhibition Bursary
The David Fussey Choral Exhibition Bursary is worth £1,000 per year for students who are selected to join the University of Greenwich Choir.
Fast-Forward Master's Scholarship
Our Fast-Forward Master's Scholarships offer £5,000 to high-performing final-year undergraduates at the University of Greenwich to continue their studies at the university. The scholarships are available for a broad range of master's degrees for full-time and part-time study.
GREAT India Scholarship
If you are resident in India and you hold an offer to study an eligible course at Greenwich, you could earn a scholarship to cover your first-year tuition fees.
GREat Skills Scholarship
We're all about great skills! If you take our GREat skills programme before you start the university, you could earn a scholarship worth £2,000.
Gurkha Personnel Bursary
The Gurkha Personnel Bursary provides £1,000 per year to students who served, or have parents who served, in Gurkha military units within the British Army. This bursary is available to undergraduate and postgraduate students, either full-time or part-time, who pay fees at the international rate.
High Achievement Scholarship
If you're a high-achieving student, come and study an undergraduate degree with us and you could win an award worth £2,000.
International Scholarships Award
International students who hold an offer to study at the University of Greenwich could receive a tuition fee discount worth up to £3,000 in the first year. A large scholarship fund is available to support the best applicants who have received a place to study a full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate course.
John McWilliam Bursary
If you're an undergraduate student enrolled on certain courses in Architecture and Landscape, the John McWilliam Bursary could offer you £1,000 during each year of your studies. There are five bursaries available each year.
Royal Navy and Royal Marine Bursary
This bursary provides up to £3,000 per year for undergraduate students who have served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines, or whose parents have a record of service.
Sir William Boreman's Foundation
If you’re a permanent resident in the Borough of Greenwich or Lewisham, you could qualify for a Sir William Boreman's Foundation grant towards your living costs.
The Ann Packer Sports Scholarship
If you’re an elite sportsperson and decide to study a degree at the University of Greenwich, you could win a scholarship named after our Olympic gold medal-winning alumna, Ann Packer. The Ann Packer Sports Scholarships provide up to £3,500 (plus up to £500 in support services) per year for full-time students. Scholarship holders will be paid in two instalments throughout the year.
The Greenwich Bursary
The Greenwich Bursary is worth £700 for new undergraduate students with a low household income (below £25,000).
The Sanctuary Scholarship
This scholarship is for an offer holder seeking asylum or with refugee status in the United Kingdom. It covers tuition and accommodation costs, plus a maintenance grant.
William Hills Scholarship
The William Hills Scholarship offers six students £2,000 each year for the duration of their 4-year MEng Mechanical Engineering degree. The scholarship is available to full-time MEng Mechanical Engineering students, as well as students who transfer from the BEng Mechanical Engineering to the MEng in Year 3.
