Application requirements specific to this program:

  • Documentation of Health Physical by a Medical Doctor (pdf)

  • Proof of Current Vaccination Series (pdf) Medical documentation for students allergic to immunizations may be provided

  • Proof of Current TB Test (pdf) (within the past month) and/or medical documentation

  • Signed Technical Standards Acknowledgment Form (pdf)

  • Three Professional Recommendations

    • Please provide the information for three professional references and forms will be sent to your references to fill out.

  • Students must submit official transcripts from all institutions attended with a demonstrated 3.0 cumulative GPA

  • Documentation of completion of the prerequisite courses utilizing the Pre-Requisite Course Self-Audit Form (pdf)

Students who meet the required application criteria will be considered by the Athletic Training Program Admissions Committee. Qualified applicants will be granted an interview by the admissions committee.

English Requirement

Application requirements for international applicants:

  • Copy of current visa (if applicable)

  • English Language Proficiency. TAMUCC currently accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the last 2 years:

    • Official TOEFL score minimum paper-based score of 550 or internet-based score of 79-80

    • Official IELTS score minimum 6.5

Thông tin khóa học

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (57 hours) prepares health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic Training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities (nata.org).

The Athletic Training program is designed to provide students didactic and clinical experiences with actual patient populations. It is intended to encourage and facilitate a student’s immersive clinical experience to deliver patient centered care to diverse populations. Upon completion of the degree program, students will have met all requirements to sit for the national Board of Certification (BOC) examination to practice Athletic Training. Additionally, students will be eligible to apply for Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Athletic Training Licensure.
