Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the programme.

With the rise of popular television shows such as CSI, Criminal Minds and Law & Order, more people are developing an interest for careers in criminology.
Criminology is the study of crime and criminal behaviour. You will gain an understanding of criminal law and how a country responds to crimes through the criminal justice system.
This involves the study of policing, criminal behaviour, and transnational and international crimes. You will study the cause and prevention of crimes from a multidisciplinary approach.
The study of criminology will help you understand why people commit crimes, how to prevent them, and how we can improve the criminal justice system.
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Business in Human Resources Management and Criminology from Murdoch University, Australia.
The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.
Students will attend a combination of lectures, tutorials and workshops in this programme and have the flexibility to plan their study schedule based on their study load. Students are expected to be on campus for classes, workshops and self-study.
